This page explains the ground rules for using the Fair Winds Plumbing website. The work itself (estimates, jobs, warranties) is covered by the written quote or invoice I give you, not by this page.

Who you're dealing with
This website is operated by Clinton, doing business as Fair Winds Plumbing, out of Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. You can reach me at clinton@fairwindsplumbing.ca or 902-529-2115.
What this site is (and isn't)
This site is here so people in Halifax and the HRM can learn what I do and get in touch. Everything on it (service descriptions, example projects, rough pricing ideas) is for general information only. It is not a formal quote, a contract, or a guarantee of a specific price or outcome on your job. A real quote comes after I've seen the work in person and given you a written number.
I do my best to keep the content accurate and up to date, but I can't promise it's free of typos, outdated details, or mistakes. If something on the site conflicts with what I've told you directly, what I've told you directly wins.
Using the site
You're welcome to browse, read, and share links to this site. What you're asked not to do:
- Copy, republish, or resell the site's text, photos, or code as your own.
- Use the site to send spam, scrape it with automated tools in ways that burden the server, or try to break into it.
- Impersonate Fair Winds Plumbing or pretend that content from elsewhere is mine.
Intellectual property
The writing, photos, illustrations, and layout of this site belong to Fair Winds Plumbing unless otherwise noted. The site was designed and built by J&J Design, and their name and logo are their own property. Any third-party names or logos shown belong to their respective owners.
Links to other sites
If this site links somewhere else, like J&J Design's site, that link is there for convenience. I don't control those sites and I'm not responsible for their content, their privacy practices, or anything that happens once you leave here.
No warranty on the website itself
The website is provided "as is." I can't promise it will always be available, bug-free, or perfectly current. To the extent the law allows, I'm not liable for any loss or damage that comes from using, or not being able to use, this website. (This does not limit anything I owe you under a written quote, invoice, or workmanship warranty for actual plumbing work.)
The work itself
Anything I do on your property (estimates, service calls, renovations, new builds) is governed by the quote, invoice, and any written warranty I give you for that specific job, plus Nova Scotia's consumer protection and building laws. Nothing on this website overrides those.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Nova Scotia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Any dispute about this website will be handled in the courts of Nova Scotia.
Changes
I may update these terms from time to time. When I do, I'll change the "last updated" date at the top. Using the site after that means you're OK with the updated version.
